Cheap Business Class in 2015
As 2014 winds down, and we reflect on this year’s greatest changes, we can say with certainty that we’ve witnessed a shift in business class with nearly any airline hoping to stay in business.
Airlines have had a hugely profitable year, and some of those profits have been reinvested in the growing business class market. New linens, modern reclining and lie-flat seats, personalized and private retreats, entertainment centers, china, pillows, and even Hello Kitty have become the new standard in attracting business class clients.
The market is growing, and more passengers are willing to spend the money for the privilege of flying business class. 2014 has also been a big year for frequent flyer program changes.
As the business class sector grows, the airlines have been tightening their free mile programs, making it more challenging for passengers working toward cheap business class seats.
But not impossible. As we report here, there are still many ways to earn points, basically for pennies on the dollar.
Looking forward to 2015, we expect the airlines to continue their business class overhaul for their long-hauls, and we expect to see more credit card offers. The US economy has been improving, and interest rates will increase in 2015, which means credit card companies will make more money. With this in mind, it will be particularly important to remain aware of where and how to get the best deals and points.
We look forward to keeping you informed.
